It sounds interesting, but if it says Wuxia, then it probably holds to the Wuxia tropes that I cant stand, where the only people not a powerhungry asshole or completely useless is part of the MC’s posse, and the people in power don’t obey the rules while expecting everyone else to obey those same rules.

yeah you are probably correct, I will give it a try though since its not a - nonzero chance but then again the % chance that its good is very low indeed.
I will post to say if I actually managed to listen to the whole thing.

I managed 1h and 42 minutes of this book before I checked reviews on amazon.
Tbh with that 1hour and 42 minutes added to reading the reviews I just can not make myself continue listening.
I have read some of this authors work previously and while fair at times it was also borderline questionable. 3 strikes M.H. Johnson is out.

Thanks for the upload h0ser. As always, the torrent was well seeded, fast and healthy.
I listened to it at 125% (1.25%) normal speed, because you’re right, the narration is just slow. But, with that caveat in mind I really enjoyed the story. The opening was creative entry into the ‘other world’, which I appreciated.

I love Wayne Mitchell as a narrator. His antagonist personas are great. His battle voice is captivating because it has a smooth cadence to it, almost melodic. I agree with speeding up the books, I speed up every book.

To be honest it is quite slow, but ghe story is definitely good. I enjoyed it a lot. Hope we can get book 2 and 3!! Thanks for the upload. Great torrent.

Main character is a weak altruistic simp with zero confidence in spite of being an heir to the big company, that is totaly unable to cope with the new world and is being dragged around by the plot, which is rather cliche, but readable. If you dont like simping and wuxias, skip this.

I very much enjoyed the book. Narrator is one of the best :) 2/3 through the book MC is OP AF, which I love. Download is great with no issues, would recommend to all. I will be paying for this book and any other in series to support the author :)

I had to stop almost 6 hours in. If you have any triggers around bullying or authority then please do not listen.
Face-slapping, etc I am okay with. But the several scenes of casual but serious abuse by the powerful who then suffer ZERO consequences, and the MC just bowing and scraping to such abusers…I can’t take it.
I got mentally messed up, so heavily triggered that it skewed my thinking for some 2 days.
(The rest of the storytelling seemed good to me, and after speeding the playback a bit it was an easy listen.)
