Felix’s life on Earth had become a series of dead-end jobs, ruined relationships, and rotating apartments smaller than most postage stamps. By all accounts, even his own, he was a coward. The book is bad. Very stupid and extremely lucky protagonist, sloppy and massively convenient plot to the point of being unnaturally convoluted. Absolutely pointless intro story of his drugged and possibly raped sister which he witnessed, followed later by a side plot about saving a “puppy” creature. The skills, levels and attribute points are given for basically any action, so even a moron like the main character could easily become overpowered. He constantly gets himself into mortally dangerous situations, but with a help from the plot twists, overcomes it by chance and gains even more powers. He gains exactly the skills he would need next time, find exactly the items he would require, and so on. There is no one strong motivation to propel the main character through the story, instead he just does things (often very stupid things).
Throughout the first 4 or so hours I managed to listen to this book, I wished he would get killed, and someone more deserving would get this opportunity instead. In conclusion — very disappointing. Especially considering the author has some writing skills, and the voice actor is doing a fine job overall.

@CorkyPie “drugged and possibly raped sister which he witnessed” It wasn’t his sister that was drugged, it was her friend, his sister sneaked in the room and took her away while he confronted the aggressors. The intro isn’t pointless at all, its meant to show his character. Despite being physically weak and lacking any ability for violence, he still chose to confront those grapists, because it’s the right thing to do, and he even dies for it. All around it’s an ok series, not great but not the worse, I think a lot of people will enjoy it tho. ¯\_(ヅ)_/¯
