i see that both @cabbagedoll and @happdrop gave this full 5 stars… all i’m gonna say is don’t listen to any moomin audio and smoke, it can hit you a little too real

I’m having trouble with this one i.e. I can’t change the info in m4b, and I can’t convert it to mp3, either. Stamp editor doesn’t recognize it. Can anyone offer advice?

@illodiini have you tried to use ffmpeg? just as a try i’ve run following command:
ffmpeg -i “Moominvalley in November.m4b” -acodec libmp3lame -ar 22050 “Moominvalley in November.mp3″
and it worked ok… the resulting mp3 file is listenable, but does not have any ID3 tags. i’m sure more experienced users (or a google search) can help you with better conversion, i’ve just run it as a test… hope this helps

I can listen to it, but I wish to tinker with it. And I want to add info and save it to a external hard drive. “ffmpeg” doesn’t help with that, I think.

@illodiini, i use ffmpeg for conversion, and (for mp3 files) mp3info for adding tags, you can either use it ineractively (for example: mp3info -i name_of_mp3_file.mp3) or specify the tags with appropriate command line switches - please see mp3info –help for details

Actually it is an MP3 file with the wrong extension. Just rename it to *.mp3, no conversion is needed.
