@ivw: since when did not being able to understand a thick foreign accent be racist? I’m all about endeavoring to bridge cultural gaps and be even in treatment of all races, but casual accusations of racism like that hurts everyone and alienates those who would otherwise be allies in the long war against actual racism.

@ivw: btw: Chinese companies, specifically Xiaomi, are *infamous* for stealing the intellectual property and innovations of other nation’s companies with the full support of the Chinese government. There are no consequences, so they do it freely. I’m very sorry this reality makes your liberal sensibilities feel yucky, but the facts are indisputable, and the facts consistently show the shameless actions of China and Chinese nationals who have become notorious for stealing technology from other countries and calling it their own.
Interesting note: China also, much like you, aggressively cries “racism” whenever they’re criticized for anything, cheapening the fight over actual, systemic racism around the world, which is very real and set back anytime someone uses it as a casual political tool to avoid accountability or attention.
