Trouble is, the people who need this won’t read it…they just go to a rally (run by the guy who is supposed to be acting as president but isn’t) and get their latest list of “facts” that he’s invented. No need to question or check anything, or so they think.

The media is supposed to report the facts, not make/create them. Once that happens, be it from the left and or right, the people live in nothing but a propaganda state. And failures to report the facts, like lies of omission, are still lies.
When you are willing to recognize and admit that both the left and the right freely bend reality to fit their agenda, then you beginning to make headway in finding the truth. Failure to do so means your are just as ignorant (read stupid) as those you condemn so freely.

I think that your “reliable rabid right indicator” might be defective (are they really on sale?) - the comments are fair enough.
Daniel Levitin is very good (he’s written great stuff about music and the brain).
There’s little doubt that sharpening up the old critical thinking skills would be hugely beneficial.
I think I’m getting a little politically punch-drunk, because a lot of the criticisms could be applied to so many pundits and commentators.
