Thanks Jo I always wanted to read this!
Not what I expected as it turned out. Some of the writing and characterizations sparkle but much of it is slipshod, as if Adams just wanted to finish as quickly as possible.
Still, the profound moments make you stick with it.
odd there were no does central to the story… rabbits are matriarchal after all and does are charged with scoping out new territories and viciously defending the young.
I’d have just taken it for poetic license if the author hadn’t indicated the story was grounded by natural rabbit behavior.
