Because it’d have to be a VERY cold day in God’s basement before anyone with more than two brain cells to rub together, a soul left to lose, a basic education in human history, and who yet retains at least a MINIMAL ability to think critically before they believe anything Oliver North or any trumpublican says about God, Country, or redemption. Not after Evangelicals hypocritically supported a piece of moral toxic waste like Donald Trump and all the other moral, ethical, and intellectual sociopathic fascist wanna-be’s, many of whome STILL support Trumps obsessive idol, role model, and object of almost sexual obsession crush - Vlad The Putin and his merry band of ACTUAL child torture, rape, and murdering military and his sick war against Ukraine. Not quite, BillyJack. What you’re referring to is exploiting people’s fear of God to exert power over them, and justifying evil, self-serving ambition as “God’s will”, like Europeans killing, pillaging, raping, and enslaving because somehow, a middle eastern god who’s earthly son was morphed into a white guy (because heaven forbid white people accept a God that doesn’t look like THEM, which would shake their belief that they were the best things to walk the earth) gave them justification to do whatever they wanted to people that didn’t look like them and their appropriated God. The problem isn’t religion, it’s the zealots who were wielding it for their own gain. What we have now is what happens when children know mommy and daddy actually AREN’T going to punish them for being bad: depravity and a general and overt lack of morality of those in power. Especially those in charge right now. Society functions best when people believe someone’s watching and they’ll have to pay later for acting on their impulses to be pieces of crap. It sounds bleak, but MANY people are just so messed up that they NEED to be afraid of a man in the sky tossing them into flames after they die, otherwise nothing would restrain their behavior. Religion provides morals that many people don’t learn in the home.

I don’t worry about books like this because the people it’s meant to swindle out of their money do not know how to read or worse like Trump do not think they need to read anything because they already know it all. How evangelicals can support a serial whoremonger that says he doesn’t read because he knows everything and that he doesn’t pray because he doesn’t do anything wrong, is beyond me. Ole Ollie is a traitor to boot. Back when lying to congress was a capital crime.
