The PANIC is far worse then the disease.
Science is Never settled! We question, challenge and innovate.
So much information, pro vs con, is out there that an honest debate has not taken place. Not blind obedience, but informed consent. The inconsistencies of the lock down vs common sense precautions are what is angering millions of people. The “do as I say, not as I do” also erodes the necessity, and veracity, of the Draconian measure being instituted by some Democratic Governors. Truth is that we are all going to get the China Virus at some point. The Vaccine will only be marginally effective at best. Just like many diseases, Herd Immunity is what’s going to eventually allow society to go back to a more normal existence.
Unfortunately, many politicians ans “scientists” are using this virus as a political tool.
We need to take a breath, step back and realize that this virus is 99.7% survivable! An article or a meme doesn’t give much insight into the China Virus.

Wondering how many of the people that commented actually listened to the book…and how many dismissed the book out of hand because of their own political beliefs. For those that dismissed it out of hand and turned it into an “anti-Trump” or political thing…shame on you. Try opening your mind enough to actually LISTEN to what your “opposition” has to say. It’s called critical thought, people…you should try it some time. You’ll at least have a better argument than the same, old, political tripe of “still channeling Trump” and calling someone names (both are bully tactics along the same mental lines as “my dad can beat up your dad!”).

The book should be called Ignorance for Dummies. If you think wearing a mask is bad for you because it starves your brain for oxygen then I think that ship sailed a long time ago, honey. People who actually follow and understand science know that the pandemic is very real and very fatal. I wish it would only wipe out the anti-maskers but unfortunately it kills the elderly and weak as well. This pile of trash book does not help, nor does having a narcissistic train wreck in the Oval Office

As a centrist who did not vote for either Trump or Obama either time, I find both sides arguments ridiculous. We wont know which countries dealt with corona best for at least 2 or 3 years. We are 10 months in and are still guessing at how best to deal with Corona. To say Trump deliberately ignored some scientists, while maybe factually true, it is not honest. Like any president, I am sure he listened to scientists from all camps and made the decision he thought was best for America. You should stop armchair quarterbacking and get off your high horses and go help your neighbor who is struggling.

Some good points made, but already sadly out of date as it takes the angle that the virus had run its course by the end of the summer, is fairly bitter and twisted as all Americans seem to be when it comes to their media and conspiracy theories and ends up mostly fiddling the figures in exactly the same way it blames scientists and sections of the media for doing so.
Not as rabid as most of the right wing rants out of America, but its bubbling below the surface on several occasions. I admit I couldn’t quite listen to the last couple of chapters, but reading a book that speaks of the peak of the virus in the past tense seems a bit pointless.
