  “Truly, this is the crux of this position. The issue of how much doctors and nurses learn about vaccines in college is a minor, cherry-picked detail the way it is presented by antivaxers. Why? Because they are merely counting hours spent on topics or pages in textbooks and this is not how nurses and doctors are trained.

  In his video, Forrest takes a pile of medical textbooks (we are not told from which medical school or year they originate) and examines the number of pages devoted to vaccines. Out of 6700 pages total, he found four and a half pages that discuss vaccines. He further looked at a pediatrics reference textbook and found 11 pages of vaccine schedules and three paragraphs of contraindications, out of 5000 pages total.

  #1) Anyone who knows someone who is essentially incapacitated with autism knows how messed up it can be. They people need care their entire lives. They aren’t making clever metaphors on torrent sites.

  #2) The level of intellectual smugness is on a level I haven’t seen since… well… since global warming. We should be completely skeptical about everything we are told, including the safety of vaccines. I don’t see ANYTHING in those links that are peer-reviewed scientific studies that test the safety of ALL the vaccines we give kids. Nor anything about the frequency or velocity. What I do see is a lot of strawmen, “logic bombs” and “OMG, look at what this person believes!”

  Everyone should get vaccinated - clearly. But people and especially doctors should look at all the available DATA and SCIENTIFIC CONCLUSIONS and not merely go with the “consensus”.

  And, if you’ve ever actually had chance to read the list of side effects on package of the vaccine (ask doctor to show it to you before next time you eagerly expose your child to it), you would seriously wonder what’s the greater risk, all the poison that’s in there or minute chance the child will contract some almost extinct disease that’s curable without vaccine anyway. Also take into account all the ways in which pharma, med insurance and doctors (dentists especially) make you clasp your ankles for their pleasure doing unnecessary procedures at disproportionate prices. Why would this be any different? Kudos to all the medical workers in ER’s who really are saving lives every day, though. It’s pretty hard to operate on yourself.

I’m personally pro-vaccine and this intolerant, bigoted approach to people that disagree with you is anti-scientific (ironically), barbaric, and won’t convince anyone that they should reevaluate their beliefs. Of course, it doesn’t appear that most of you want to persuade others of anything, rather, you’d prefer violently imposing your will on them.   Vaccination is not 100% immunity for everyone. Some vaccinated people will get the disease regardless, if by some peculiarity of the patient it did not take; or there was some mistake in treatment; a million possible reasons. And some people CANNOT be vaccinated due to having poor or undeveloped immune systems, babies, very elderly, have cancer, AIDS, etc.
  Statistically, if 95% or more are vaccinated, “herd immunity” protects the rest and most diseases cannot spread. Less than that and highly infectious diseases like measles WILL SPREAD and kill those susceptible; especially in the modern world with fast travel, huge cities public transport, schools, theatres, etc all providing ideal venues to spread disease.

  It’s like saying: Don’t worry about crazy guys with guns if you wear a bulletproof vest. Yeah, I still would. I’m safer, but I can still die if he gets a head shot.

  There have been millions of illegals coming to the US forever. The numbers are much lower now than 20 years ago, but that doesn’t fit the “Build the Wall” narrative, so it’s “fake news”. The numbers of illegals doesn’t correlate with disease either spatially or temporally.

  I am heartened to the fact that so many people recognize the unscientific non-sense this books sells. Everyone knows that vaccines did not cause Autism. That is a bunch of non-sense that has been said for years, only its factually wrong and proven so countless times

With lots of peer reviewed references to check out (including evidence based meta analysis of a whole bunch of studies). I will say it again, just so anti-vaxers understand, THERE IS ZERO LINK BETWEEN AUTISM AND VACCINATIONS. No vaccine ever caused autism in someone, EVER. If you believe that you have been lied to.

  And as others have said, the argument about people having the right to control what goes into their bodies, that they shouldnt be forced to be vaccinated if they dont want to be, doesnt wash. The thing is, with flat earth believers, ok believe that nonsense if you want but it doesnt hurt anyone else. This isnt true when it comes to vaccines, you literally endanger the lives of other people by not being vaccinated. You have no right to put other peoples lives at risk because of your unfounded bs belief that vaccines are bad. We are literally talking about life and death , human life.
