  while I don’t mind the m4b or weird ass formats I don’t get it either….I play these on vlc on a computer so I don’t care but ya, mp3 should always be the format.

  Considering these are books I have purchased, and you’re getting them free, it’s bit much that the file format is being discussed.

  Considering how much I’ve uploaded, is it that much of an effort to convert it yourself given there is so much free software available.

  Guess I won’t upload the Fate Of The Jedi series.

  I use Smart Audiobook player I believe its on both iPhone and Android. I use the payed version but I believe there is a free version as well. It’s great I have it on 4 devices as long as I have a copy on all 4 devices they sync up. It plays every format. If a book doesn’t have a cover it finds it on the net. It’s a really good app. It Has a sleep timer that stops the book for you so you don’t miss much.

  Thanks Pamar for every share you provide. Personally, I prefer m4bs as unlike mp3, you can have chapters and other audiobook info in the m4bs and when purchased from aud e ble, the aax can be converted to m4b without any loss to quality. But if you upload in mp3 like the GAs, then I appreciate them just as much.

  @bdh420 +1 for your Smart AB player suggestion, I use the same setup and it never fails and the full version is only $2.

  Just to throw in my vote here, but THANK GOD FOR m4b. You can actually load it onto your phone - including VLC btw - and it will track chapters and your position, isntead of trying to track down which random one of 80 freaking mp3s you have scattered around. MP3s suck for audiobooks, and the people whining about and demanding that they should always be mp3s haven’t thought things through or even bothered to figure out how to use this clearly superior format. To all you mp3 people: VLC places m4b’s just fine. Maybe download an update once a century.

  To the poster: THANK YOU SO MUCH. I’m sorry that you were belligered by ungrateful Luddites over the format. I am super grateful for the titles you’ve shared - and thank you for choosing the obviously best format to do it with. I’m sorry the mp3 generation had to pull you down. THANKS AGAIN!!!
