I don’t see how Trump could be classed as any sort of Christian. The most important element of Christianity is to follow (or at least try hard to follow) the teachings of Christ through his instructions given in His own words in the gospels.
Matthew, for example, contains more than the others and a very brief examination shows that that Trump says and does the exact opposite of these instructions.
St Matthew’s Gospel: 7:1-2, 5:2-12 ,7:12, 6:5-13, 6:14-15, 5:38-39, 5:43-45, 18:2-4, 7:3-5’ 19:23-24, 5:21-22, 5:40-42 are just a few examples; there are many others

I suppose the one reasonable argument that could be made is that this is the American version of Christianity, where it’s been taken to an extreme and weaponized. You’ve got a book here written by a guy who is the president of a hate-group, who considers Catholics who wear face masks for the common good to be dissenting leftists.
This book isn’t written for sane people. It’s by an extremist, for extremists.

Thank you, mcmlxiii (a Kennedy reference or something else?). Whilst I am not religuous, I respect others beliefs, so long as their beliefs don’t intend to cause me physical harm. And these obvious contradictions classify this book as another piece of literay garbage.

Wow. All these informed people who took the time to post about a book regarding the person they hate. Also laughable, is their contempt and criticism for a religion they have no understanding of, but feel quite superior and knowledgeable to comment upon. @delzog I was baptised, raised in a catholic family, and went to a catholic school until I was 16. Chances are I’m in a more informed position to Express my opinion on this than you are.
Not that we even disagree. A lot of catholics are superstitious bigots. So it absolutely makes sense that they would gravitate towards Trump.
And if we’re using “people went out I’d their way to disagree with this, therefore it must be right” as a measurement, you surely need to recognize that the same thing happens any time a book on socialism or communism is posted.
But if you’re a proper christian, you’ll probably just cherry-pick anything that supports what you were going to do anyway, right?

The “Catholic Case for Trump” is made plain by the cover. It’s simply they expected him to appoint Catholic judges, which he did, and in turn they expect them to overturn Roe v Wade. For that, they will excuse him personally breaking every single Commandment and having no clue or interest in Christianity himself except as way to buy votes and attack his opponents.
The Pope himself didn’t go along with that, not least because most of the Hispanics Trump demonises are Catholic.

mcmlxiii-If we took every single Christian and looked at their live and behaviors, we would find about 0.5% of them would actually be going to heaven…according to the RULES. This book is just another nail in the supposedly empty coffin of Christianity. I once viewed Christianity as likely necessary for the many people who are afraid of the dark, those who fear too much their future nonbeing. I could not manage the intellectual slight of hand, the self deceptive double think, to carry it off myself.
But now,Christianity is just icky. It makes me cringe. I could never have a relationship with a Christian. No way.
