Three years ago, Alice spent one night in an abandoned house with her friends, Ila and Hannah. Since then, Alice’s life has spiraled. She lives a haunted existence, selling videos of herself for money, going to parties she hates, drinking herself to sleep.
Memories of that night torment Alice, but when Ila asks her to return to the House, to go past the KEEP OUT sign and over the sick earth where teenagers dare each other to venture, Alice knows she must go.

This one is different. I put it in the Category but trigger warnings for people sensitive to violence, both physical and sexual. Also, this book’s primary protagonist is a trans-woman and has a good deal to say about fascism. Other POVs, however, take the TERF or worse perspective with accompanying language. Please be aware of this, too. One has to go the 4chan to experience the kind of vitriol spewed in this book. It is a horror book, first and foremost, which influences the tone.
