Wow this is book has such a unique magic system! very intriguing. If you like the Ends of magic books you’ll like this book.

It is an interesting magic system. Still quite normal. The most unique one I’ve seen was in Misfit Mage (Fledgling God, Book 1) by Michael Taggart. That was incredibly imaginative!
Unfortunately book 2 seems to be broken in all currently available torrents, so we have to wait for my plea to go noticed in the forums. :)

This was good. It has the flavor of science fiction written by someone with degrees in mathematics and physics, along with serious time spent thinking about ethics.
Also instead of potentially boring combat segments there are some mild horror scenes. It is the kind of combat where the goal is to run away unless you completely overwhelm your foe. It was refreshing.

Yeah, but it seems to be 21st century science, not 1980s - even though MC died 1982… While the neodymium magnet was first proven in 1982, it was probably not available knowledge at the time in crumbling USSR. And there’s more stuff I forgot because I didn’t care about making a notice, which was much more recent.
