while I do not mean to sound ungrateful for more 40k content, these short story collections are a waste of resources. They feature stuff that’s already been published in audio form in other releases, and also features complete garbage from people like Nick Kyme, LJ Goulding, Gav Thorpe and Dave Guymer.

ArgelTarl what did Nick Kyme, LJ Goulding, Gav Thorpe and Dave Guymer do to get the title of garbage?

Taker of heads is the BEST short story in the Warhammer 40 k Universe from my perspective. Its so powerful and primal and raw. Thanks for the upload!

Gav Thorpe IS Warhammer 40k! ArgelTarl has been reported and will be going the ranks of the 13th Legion very soon.

Gav Thorpe is a very tragic writer in that he’s almost good but he can’t actually build a narrative arc with escalating tension, which makes his stories a lot more tedious to sit through than they should be.
But fine, let’s ignore the statement about how most of those writers’ output is mediocre and boring for the most part, these short story audio drama packages still are just rereleases of stuff that’s already out there. Like half of the Inquisitor one is composed of Eisenhorn stories that already exist in the package Thorn and Talon and also within Eisenhorn The Magos.

Gav Thorpe wrote 13th Legion, that book along with First and Only and Space Wolf got me hooked on WH40k.
I’ve read hundreds of books from dozens of authors.
It seems you misread above since Gav Thorpe doesn’t even have a short story in this collection…and why are you complaining about something you didn’t buy.
