This book is only 5.5 hours long which is about 1/4 of a book, but it has good reviews. If you like the author check out the rest of his books…

No,no,not Owlman! Nothing is abridged. :) That’s how long the book really is. Use be 15 to 30 hours. $20 for 5 hours is shit, really.
Do the Math:
Most authors publish a book every 6 months. whatever. That’s 120 business/week days. A 10 hour book is 600 minutes, divided by 120 days is 5 minutes of dialog a day. Stupid right?
I know there’s more to writing than just writing, but still, 5 minutes is, PATHETIC.
Andy Weir sold “The Martian” (11 hours) for $250,000.00 to Crown/Random House.
My heart totally goes out to all authors but try waiting tables with a 3.83 College GPA. I swear I’ll totally feel guilty if you leave me a $250,000.00 tip. I will. I’ll feel it first in Hawaii! :)

Hey Owlman, it’s not abridged. Just a short book; but I think $20 for a 5 hour book sucks. I know authors complain how they don’t make enough money but most only produce a few minutes of dialog a day. For example: A 10 hour book, times 120 weekdays (6 months right?) equals 5 minutes a day. Brutal.

Whats worse is when that 5-minute dialog is repeated verbatim several times in the same book. The author assumes we cant remember a character and proceeds to repeat a whole page every time that character appears in the book.
