Book 1, Starship Freedom
The starship Freedom is just a museum ship…until the aliens attack.
The starship Freedom was once a mighty warship. Today, she’s a tourist attraction. The space wars ended long ago. The Freedom is now a flying museum; the tourists love it. The Changing of the Guard, the starfighter aerobatics, the starboard cannon salute…it’s the best show in the galaxy.
James King commands the starship Freedom. He hates his job. He was a real soldier once, back when the Freedom was a real warship. He never imagined himself running a tourist trap. Right after Christmas, he plans to retire. Then, on Christmas day, the aliens attack. Horrifying aliens. Creatures of claws, fangs, and endless malice. Within hours, they devastate Earth’s military. Millions die. So much for retirement.
The aliens spare the starship Freedom. After all, she’s only a tourist attraction. But not to Commander King. He will get his beloved starship battle-ready. He will enter the fight. The Freedom will fly to war again!

Book 2, The Cost of Freedom
Not long ago, the starship Freedom was a museum ship. A relic of a bygone era. A rusty old warship converted into a tourist trap.
Then the aliens attacked. Now, once more, the legendary Freedom flies to war.
The war is brutal. The enemy is merciless. The rahs, vicious arachnids from deep space, crave only one thing. Human flesh. Before this terror, Earth’s fleet crumbles. Starships burn. Millions die. But the Freedom still flies. James King, her gruff old commander, still fights.
The Freedom will never surrender. The Freedom will never flee. The long, cold night has come to Earth, but the Freedom shines bright. The survivors of the fleet rally behind her. All brave souls heed her call. The Freedom sounds the cry of Earth: We will win!
—
Book 3, We Fight for Freedom
They called her a relic. They said she would never fly again. They said she was too old. Too large. A floating museum.
But now the starship Freedom is the only hope of mankind. The aliens attack us everywhere. Vicious aliens. Bloodthirsty spiders from deep space. Our fleets burn. Our cities fall. Earth cries out for salvation.
James “Bulldog” King, commander of the Freedom, answers the call. He will gather the fleet. He will lead an assault. This is the final stand of mankind.
There can be no victory without sacrifice. No courage without fear. No freedom without heroes to defend it. This is a time for heroes. A time for war. A time for the starship Freedom to light the darkness.
—
Book 4, For Death or Freedom
The starship Freedom. The hope of mankind. The defender of Earth.
Under the leadership of James “Bulldog” King, the Freedom won battle after battle. Yet now Freedom faces her most terrifying foe.
Not an alien fleet. Not a charging armada. But one ship.
Nobody knows where the Tyranny came from. Nobody knows who pilots this mechanical terror. She emerged from the darkness like a demon from hell. And she craves the blood of men.
She is larger than the Freedom. Faster. Deadlier. Marooned in deep space, the Freedom must face her alone.
A great duel begins. Two starships. Two captains. Two iron wills. Only one ship will survive.
—
Book 5, Let Freedom Ring
The starship Freedom is marooned in deep space, far from home. Crippled. Barely flying. But she is not alone.
In the shadows, evil stirs. A race woven from arachnid and human DNA. They hunt like spiders. They think like men. They are the perfect killers. Like a virus, they invade the Freedom.
James “Bulldog” King, commander of the Freedom, has fought alien fleets. This is different. This is worse. The infestation swarms through Freedom’s labyrinthine halls. Destroying. Eating up the Freedom from the inside.
King must muster all his courage. All his strength. He must reclaim his ship. He must find his way home. Or not only Freedom will fall—but Earth itself.
—
Book 6, In Pursuit of Freedom
The Aeolians. The galaxy’s most mysterious aliens. For a million years, they’ve been hiding. No human has ever seen them.
Until now.
James King, commander of the starship Freedom, travels to their secluded world. He seeks to forge an alliance. To learn from the Aeolians their ways of war.
According to myth, the Aeolians once defeated the predatory rahs, alien spiders who are plaguing Earth. Aeolia’s secrets can save humanity.
But King soon learns that Aeolia harbors more secrets than he ever imagined. The Aeolians seem friendly at first…but not entirely honest. Something terrible happened to these aliens. Something they will not speak of. As Aeolia’s secrets begin to unravel, so might the galaxy itself…

Book 7, The Guns of Freedom
War flares between man and monster…between Earth and the terror from the stars.
We did not choose this war. The spiders attacked us. They trapped us in their webs. They devoured millions.
No, we did not want this war. But we will win it!
The starship Freedom rises. A legendary ship. A beacon of hope. A pillar of flame in the darkness. The fleet rallies behind her. All eyes gaze up at her light.
Admiral James King leads the fleet to battle. He knows the stakes. Earth teeters on the edge of destruction. He must muster all his courage, all his skill. Or Earth will fall.
This is an hour of war. An hour of spiders. An hour of courage and sacrifice and blood. This is Freedom’s finest hour.
—
Book 8, A Time for Freedom
The final battle is here.
The final stand of the starship Freedom. The final hope for Earth.
Two galactic civilizations face off. On one side—the rahs. Arachnid predators from deep space. On the other side—humanity. Us.
We have been fighting for years. Millions sacrificed their lives to bring us this far. Cities fell. Starships burned. Nations shattered. But we are still standing. Still fighting.
It ends now.
The greatest battle begins. Only one species can survive. It is a war between man and spider. Between hope and despair. Between freedom and tyranny.
The fleet is ready. The cannons are loaded. The soldiers stand tall. In this last battle, we will fall into the shadows of history…or our victory will shine for a million years.
The Freedom rises. She is our hope. Our flagship. Our light in the dark. She flies to battle one more time.

I think this is a decent series, I’m only 1 book in. First, its very slow and repeats alot of things you already know. Its 8 hours in before anything even starts. Before that is basically lore dump and character stuff. Secondly, the writing is very stiff, I don’t know if it gets better as the author gets more skilled. For example, there is no slang or looseness, all the characters always say They are instead of they’re to the point where you notice. Instead of “get over there and kill that spider!” its “I want you to proceed over there and engage the spider in due haste”. Some parts are kinda cringe like it was written by a teenager but I got over it. The dialogue is kind of like “You will fall and I WILL destroy you and you will feel my wrathe because you are week and pathetic RAWRRRRR!!!” and the good guys are like “We will prevail for freedom and justice and they will never win because we are the freedom squad of the free!” Its like that yaknow?

It doesn’t get better, its slowly draining my sanity by being unironically sappy and corny. It takes itself so seriously but the dialogue is all so cringe. I can’t stand another 10 minutes of describing things over and over AND OVER and OVER and OVER again. Shes a princess, shes a princess, he’s a captain, e’s a captain, he’s a captain, this is his duty, this is his duty, shes an android, she is an android, she looks like this and she is an android, despite how she looks she is an android. It just keeps going into description loops. And then its like “Space is dark and cold, like the tendrils of the abyss, dark like a black inkpot, eerily silent, monsters hiding in the closet blah blah blah” He would spend 3 minutes describing space, then some dialogue and then start spending another 3 minutes redescribing a character we’ve known for hours and reexplaining something that was LITERALLY EXPLAINED 4-8 TIMES ALREADY. I gave up at book 3. This entire series could have been 3 books but it was stretched to 8.
