Meet Charles™, the latest in robot servant technology. Programmed to undertake the most menial household chores, Charles is loyal, efficient and logical to a fault - that is, until a rather large fault causes him to murder his owner. Understandably perplexed, Charles finds himself without a master and, in a society reliant on artificial labour, worthless. Fleeing the household, he enters a world he never knew existed. Here, an age-old human hierarchy is disintegrating, and a robot ecosystem devoted to its well-being is struggling to find a purpose.
Charles must face new challenges, illogical tasks and a cast of irrational characters. He’ll discover that all it takes to overcome the limits of your programming is a nudge. But can he help fix the world, or is it too badly broken?

If a publisher wants to find out who is downloading their IP (or which VPNs they’re using, anyway) posting a torrent but not seeding it would be one way to do it without any of the naughty sharing going on, wouldn’t it?

@kanguru - if that’s the case, they’re doing a very poor job of it, as nobody is downloading anything..

@jspicoli Yeah, it’s not about entrapment, it’s about collecting intelligence on which IP numbers are trying to download their intellectual property. One hopes the majority of those IP numbers will be VPNs, but not everyone uses a VPN religiously and depending on the quality of the implementation, there can be leakage.

I’m just looking for a way to understand what we’re seeing without necessitating that the uploader just doesn’t give an F.
