This is one of my favorite books, but I never thought it could an audiobook. It’s a truly brilliant and strange novel. Any other books by Hoban (except Pilgermann, already posted here, if I recall), especially his other fiction for adults, would also be most welcome, if audio for any of them exists.

This has been on my list to find & hear. So, why the surprise about an Audio version? (Caesar, Harper; I’m looking at you!) Is it written in a unique dialect or manner better suited to print?

Yes, mooose, a kind of creative phonetic; a degraded declension dialect (I admit I made that one up), imagined following a catastrophe of civilisation.
It’s a bit like reading Trainspotting, getting used to the expression.
