More than one hundred years ago, the city of Tulsa, Oklahoma, perpetrated a massacre against its Black residents. For generations, the true story was ignored, covered up, and diminished by those in power and in a position to preserve the status quo. Blending memoir and immersive journalism, RJ Young shows how, today, Tulsa combats its racist past while remaining all too tolerant of racial injustice.
Requiem for the Massacre is a cultural excavation of Tulsa one hundred years after one of the worst acts of domestic terrorism in U.S. history. Young focuses on unearthing the narrative surrounding previously all-Black Greenwood District while challenging an apocryphal narrative that includes so-called Black Wall Street, Booker T. Washington, and Black exceptionalism. Young provides a firsthand account of the centennial events commemorating Tulsa’s darkest day as the city attempts to reckon with its self-image, commercialization of its atrocity, and the aftermath of the massacre that shows how things have changed and how they have stayed woefully the same.
As Tulsa and the United States head into the next one hundred years, Young’s own reflections thread together the stories of a community and a nation trying to heal and trying to hope.

Absolutely risible. Despite decades of searching and excavations nobody has found any evidence that this took place in this manner. Ask yourself, do you really believe “de white man” was dropping barrels of kerosine from biplanes just to keep the black man down OR as per well established pattern, the residents of the neighborhood in question rioted over something dumb and burned it down themselves?

Unfortunately they never do seem to learn, at least not in the last 100 years. Every time a good boy, an unarmed teen or aspiring rapper whoes turning his life around innocently points a gun at police these riots, which are now called mostly peaceful protests, erupt and swathes of cities burn down.

There are some people who simply can’t adjust to civilised society at least not within a few hundred years of being introduced into that society. Yes I do think genetics plays a large part in that as does Nobel prize winning geneticist Dr James Watson, but as with anything genetic certain characteristics and traits can be bred in or out over time although some races have largely tempered their murderous, imperialistic barbarism such as the white European races such as the British, other races largely have not such as Africans, Haitians and to a lesser extent the semitic races.
There is also a known correlation between low intelligence, testosterone and violent behaviour. The testosterone levels in white men have been declining for decades and are far below levels seen in black men. Infact some studies have shown black women have higher T levels than some white men. Is testosterone production genetic ? If so that may explain that the British havnt done murderous, barbaric imperialism to anybody for centuries - except for the evil fascist Tony Blair who attempted to genocide the peaceful people of Iraq for absolutely no reason.
