Another way to look at it, is that Unai Emery was made the fall guy when the board sold players he wanted to keep, and bought players nobody wanted.

If soccer delivered vicariously the way sports are supposed to there never would have been football hooligans.
Hockey is a thousand times more violent than Soccer, but you don’t see any drunken hockey hooligans breaking up people/shops/the law after a professional hockey game.
Y’all don’t get that the sport/game is supposed to be the relief valve for any pent up aggression in your society’s young men.

Just because North Americans don’t get ’soccer’ and prefer to use the word football to refer to a game where players use their hands, it does not ‘prove’ anything about the world’s most popular sport.
You can enjoy the pastimes of Hockey and Basketball, without abusing others and then claiming that others are violent and uncouth.
