In this 12-lecture meditation on Aristotle’s Nicomachean Ethics, you’ll uncover the clarity and ethical wisdom of one of humanity’s greatest minds. Father Koterski shows how and why this great philosopher can help you deepen and improve your own thinking on questions of morality and leading the best life. The aim of these lectures is to provide you with a clear and thoughtful introduction to Aristotle as a moral philosopher. After absorbing some important background information designed to introduce you to Aristotle’s career and general approach to the various fields of knowledge, you turn to the ten books (today we would call them chapters) of this brief but towering work. Throughout, you’ll consider Aristotle’s account of the four main virtues of courage, moderation, justice, and prudence; his claims that happiness (eudaimonia) is the real goal of life; his explanations of how and why people attain- or fall short of- ethical excellence; his differences with his teachers Plato and Socrates over the hard question of what knowing rightly has to do with acting rightly; where Aristotle’s thought fits into the long history of ethical reflection; and much more.
Prepare for an illuminating, mind-broadening, and thought-provoking learning experience, and a chance to get up close and personal with one of Western philosophy’s founding fathers.

Fantastic that you’ve decided to upload these lectures in a more proper form, where each lecture is its own file.
Please, keep up the good work.

Advice: If you’re an avid consumer of this type of content, search for “dohduhdah”’s profile on TPB.
I believe you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Well, shit! They seem to have many of the Great Courses available there. And here I was wasting my Audible credits on books that are already available for free. Thanks a lot for telling me about the TPB user. From now on I’ll check there before buying another The Great Courses audiobook. Maybe I’ll even upload some that I find more interesting on this website as well. Here is a link, if anyone wants to see what’s available: https://thepiratebay.org/tag/ttc

Just read the original book (Nicomachean Ethics). Definitely not Aristotle’s hardest book to read. Much more satisfying that hearing this guy lecture you.

Are you sure you understand how this site works? I’ll give you a hint: it is a torrent site, not a book review site. You are free to dislike this course, and you can go on Goodreads (or similar sites) and debate it with other interested people. On this site, opinions regarding the content of the book are not very useful. You can rate the sound quality, how good a job the narrator does, the format of the audio file(s), etc. I appreciate constructive criticism because it helps me increase the quality of my uploads. On the other hand, criticism of the uploaded content is pointless. There are probably thousands of books on this site that I don’t like or I’m not interested in, but I don’t go around giving them negative feedback because it doesn’t help anyone. If people are interested in reviews and opinions on the content of a particular book they can easily check it out on Goodreads.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not defending this course. I haven’t had the time to listen to it or to the original Aristotle book yet so I have no idea if any of them are good or not, it is just the type of comment you’ve posted that I’m not a big fan of. Have a nice day.
