Vladimir Putin is a pariah to the West.
Alone among world leaders, he has the power to reduce the United States and Europe to ashes in a nuclear firestorm and has threatened to do so. He invades his neighbours, most recently Ukraine, meddles in Western elections and orders assassinations inside and outside Russia. The regime he heads is autocratic and corrupt.

From Kirkus Reviews - Philip Short’s ‘Putin’: Portrait of a Despot; Short ably reveals Putin’s approach to politics & power: “Russia’s constitution (approved under Yeltsin) gives its president far more powers than America’s, but Short shows how Putin’s KGB background lowered his inhibitions on imprisoning or murdering political opponents; as time passed, his word became law.”
Seems the author must also contend with short attention spans, & political IQs to the negative value.

It is really funny the West obsession with the Putin. Just goes to show how decadent the West has become. I would paraphrase India’s foreign minister here “The West problems are not the world’s problems”. Putin is just president of Russia for most of the world. To insert this false morality into it is childish. Imagine Europeans and americans talking about morality with others. It really is a circus or projection.

Thanks. This doesn’t appear to be a hagiography nor is it just an ideologically driven hatchet job. Everything said here about Putin can be said about the US. The Monroe Doctrine approves of American invasion of its neighbours too.

It really is a pity that Putin won’t survive till Hague. It’ll be cyanide or pitchforks for this dear leader. But I’m glad that he’ll be able to see how his empire is crumbling around him. In 2 years the EU will transition from the Russian gas and will never look back. Russia is Z for zombie - trying to eat other people’s brains not knowing that it’s already dead.

Why does this download so strangely? It downloads up to 1.8%, then to .2%, then back to 1%, then back to 4%. Why does this happen?

sometimes you have to use a different torrent downloader. i use transmission most of the times but then i have a alternate one called FOLX.
i had a torrent that would not download anything saying that it needed meta data….then i used this FOLX downloader and voila!!!! i was downloading.
i hope this helps. there is nothing more frustrating than being stuck with a download and you want this audiobook so badly, right?
