Expect this to be a critique of Postmodernism, as The Atlas Society is a split-off from so-called The Ayn Rand Institute.
This pocket guide is mostly based off one of the co-authors (Hicks) book “Explaining Postmodernism: Skepticism and Socialism from Rousseau to Foucault”.
Postmodernism has absolutely nothing to do with the socialism, leftism or communism. In fact, the opposite is true, since post-modernism rejects the grand narratives of modernism, which includes Marxism and the ideas of the Enlightenment (e.g. Rousseau).
A more detailed critique on the book can be found here:

Take this as a disclaimer before listening and expecting a philosophical introduction.

The biggest parody of The Grand Narrative is Postmodernism itself.

Crackbit, whhy would we need to be groomed before reading something by watching a video? So that we come to the same conclusion or perspective on the book?
The categorizations thoughts beliefs and actions into various -isms is a problem we all have in our mass social networked society.
I think it just becomes a tiring argument were all supposed to follow rather than learning bits and pieces from as much as we can and developing our own unnamed-ism to follow.
Either way, thanks for the book, it may be worth a listen.
