I’m only 2 1/2 - 3hrs in, but so far it’s pretty good. Apparently it’s a translated retelling of the original which was written and published in Russia (crazy awesome Russians) LitRPG must be big over there… the Mirror World books were originally Russian also and they were top shelf too.

A few said they hope this is as good as mirror world. I couldn’t finish that one. You all should check out the Play to live by you guessed another Russian D. Russ first book is called Alterworld. Not only the best LitRPG I have read (don’t tell my 2 friends that have litrpg books published) But one of the best series I listened to last year

Niann, why is your name red. We do have the litrpg category now thankfully. I was thinking that it must be a Russian wave too, and realize it is an OLD, OLD, OLD, plot device with a new twist. Still I love it when done well. Caverns and creatures is my favorite, but its tabletop based. Can’t wait until video games are this good.
