From renowned scholar Dr. Victor Ray, On Critical Race Theory explains the centrality of race in American history and politics, and how the often mischaracterized intellectual movement became a political necessity.
Ray draws upon the radical thinking of giants such as Ida B. Wells, W.E.B. Du Bois, and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., to clearly trace the foundations of critical race theory in the Black intellectual traditions of emancipation and the civil rights movement. From these foundations, Ray explores the many facets of our society that critical race theory interrogates, from deeply embedded structural racism to the historical connection between whiteness and property, ownership, and more.
In succinct, thoughtful essays, Ray presents, analyzes, and breaks down the scholarship and concepts that constitute this often misconstrued term. He explores how the conversation on critical race theory has expanded into the contemporary popular conscience, showing why critical race theory matters and why we should all care.

OMG! You’re killin’ me, smalls. “From renowned scholar”. I’m still laughing from that one. You need to stop reading this garbage and grow up. Also, go clean your room!

Fellow white people, don’t believe the far right lies about CRT, its not anti white racism at all, it’s exactly what it says it is critical, as in view with a critics eye, race THEORY. No white person wants to feel guilty because their ancestors got rich off the backs of African slaves but its an undeniable part of history. CRT is teaching how to comes to terms with the suffering we caused and benefit from today. Accepting what we did is the first step to forgiveness and understanding of racism and why blacks behave the way they do. We simply can’t begin to understand what it’s like to be black, to be inferior not because the color of their skin but because of the color of our skin. Only white people are guilty of slavery, the holocaust and the devastating effect our continued legacy of superiority is affecting blacks today around the world through our corporate greed that fuels climate change decimating African countries and the evil of the colonies. Only when we ourselves are put in their position, a despised minority in our country that immigrants built to the tune of whips and missisippi wind chimes will we be able to share our wealth instead of hoarding it, open our hearts, wallets and borders and build a society based on equity instead of inequality, love instead of hate and racial, social and climate justice for all. Learn about CRT before denouncing it, you may aswell take this opportunity as its not going away but you just may do.

Robbie22: Your explanation of CRT is largely based on misinformation that you then go on to embrace in your own white guilt. Read, study and do some critical thinking before you pontificate.

If critical race theory bothers you or scares you… you’re pathetic. That’s it. You’re just sad. Grow up and confront reality as it is — not how you wish it were.

@rivate: Yes, Victor Ray is a renowned scholar. A professor at University of Iowa.
But if her doesn’t get his info from Gettr or Rumble videos, he cant know anything, right?

CRT is the 21st century degradation into nonsensical fantasy of what used to be a noble cause, the emancipation of oppressed ethnic minorities.

Hahahahahahah! Uh, no.

CRT is an invitation to be a victim

It doesn’t matter. And I don’t care

It seems like most people have no clue about history. Yes, we need to teach people the horrors of slavery, so it never returns again. But I have seen speakers of CRT many times talk about white people being the evil in the world, inherently racist, and overtly violent. What they dont talk about is that the African kings were the ones who enslaved their own people and sold them all over the world. What you also never hear about is Africa had been selling slaves to the Middle East for over 700 years! And the north African pirates had enslaved millions of white people between the 15th & 18th centuries, until they were stopped during the Barbary Wars. Also Africa STILL has slavery! Its the largest slave trade in the world. So CRT needs to catchup with history and tell the whole story, and the truth.

Got a lot of wealth, do you, Robbie22?
Why’re you stealing audiobooks, then?
December 22nd, 2022
It’s not ’stealing’ - capitalist pro-copyright nonsense.

@Robbie22
You’re confused. Critical Theory is a philosophy in its own right. It considers the good and bad that arises from actions and decisions. Critical Race Theory is Critical Theory applied to topics of race. And it is not applied very well.
@Hogweed
Millions of white people enslaved by North African pirates between 15th-18th century… Really? Check your numbers.
@FreePalastine
Yes, it is stealing. Go to a communist country and try stealing a book. Doesn’t end well.
December 22nd, 2022
It’s not stealing just because you repeat the assertion. lol

“Critical Race Theory” is primarily the intentionally demeaning term the far right white supremacist racists use to describe legitimate history. Denouncing CRT is an attempt to re-write our history to comport with an extremist political belief when it comes into conflict with it.
BTW, @FreePalestine - are you in favor of freeing Palestine for the ancient Hebrews, the Philistiines, the Romans, the Muslims who came from Arabia in the 7th century, the Ottomans, the British Mandatory rulers? Up until the UN created Partition in 1947 to create a two-state solution (which the Jews accepted, leading to Israel & the Muslims rejected, relying on the promises of the Arab League to wipe out the Jews & leave the entire land for Muslims), the word Palestinian was synonomous with Zionist. The Muslims who lived in Palestine (and all of the Arab world) did not recognize a separate Palestinian Muslim nation & insisted that Israel, Jordan & the West Bank (all of which was included in the original Palestine) was really only a part of the entity known as Greater Syria with its capital in Damascus. Palestinian Arabs were considered Syrians, not their own ethnicity. Had the Muslims in 1947 gone along with the 2-state partition, the nation of Palestine would have celebrated its 74th anniversary last May. Instead, when the Arab League failed to defeat & destroy Israel in 1948, they found they had made a tragic misjudgement, choosing blood over peace, & they are paying for it to this day - though of course they blame everybody but themselves.
