Cruz’s dad is a theocratic nutjob. You can find his speeches on YouTube where he basically wants an American theocracy with Ted as its pope.
Then there’s how Ted’s kowtowing to Trump, a man who called his wife ugly and said his father helped kill JFK.

It always puzzles me why fans of Ted Cruz don’t call themselves Cruizers. I’m sure he’d love to see a sea of people wearing t-shirts saying ‘I’m Cruizing for Ted’.

Harvard Grad with several distinctions, and merited non-the less, Clerk to The Highest Court of the Land, Lets stop speaking falsely and naively the man has his credits and achievements and definitely competent. Whether he chooses to employ these aptitudes honestly and scrupulously is anyone’s guess. Some of us may not necessarily be fans, or trust him, we certainly cannot take away any of his achievements, they are his and earned. We have to learn to tread the middle lane despite getting cut off incessantly by the ‘motorists’ on the Left and Right lanes encroaching on our designated road of choice. We also must learn how to objectively separate the ‘Artist from his art’ for lack of a better analogy.

Harvard Law School, graduating magna cum laude in 1995 with a Juris Doctor degree, Whilst primary editor of the Harvard Law Review, executive editor of the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy, and a founding editor of the Harvard Latino Law Review. The first two position of editor in both journal are of extreme high prestige, so much so 90% of the POTUS and VPOTUS that were Harvard law Graduates held these titles. If that isn’t noteworthy to anyone, then you simply lack the ‘intellectual horsepower’ to synthesize it’s significance; Loss only one debate against an Australian university Debate team. Was able to land a spot in the coveted and ultra competitive/difficult to get in Courses Lectured by Prof. and distinguished attorney Alan Dershowitz who said of Cruz:”Cruz was off-the-charts brilliant” in a Washington Post interview in 2013, and repeated it on several other occasions.
He also graduated cum laude from Princeton University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts in public policy in 3 years. That is all. And mind, I am not too fond of the man.

Funny thing, the ety of Conspiracy,(conspirare) means: con= with, spirare= breathe, and/or in harmony with; spira= twist, spiral,coil…spin. and then we have theory= an unproved assumption, conjecture made for the sake of argument when no valid cogent principle exists. Only in it’s Scientific context is Theory consider ‘plausible’, when presented as a set of general principles to explain phenomena, and that’s only after rigorous scientific examination. eg ‘The Theory of relativity’ ‘The Wave Theory of Light.’ So in essence conspiracy theorists are calling themselves spinsters, and twisters of their own reality and perceptions (Twisters of their own truths and beliefs)They are their own negation and cancelation LMFAO. SMH. Make America Competent Again MACA!

Ouroboros could be the ur-symbol of the trusty con theory, ed. It never endeth. If you ever try to counter or refute the beloved theory, that just means “they’ve gotten to you, too” - nothing simultaneously disappoints and affirms the theorist as much as this stunning realisation.
With any luck, the growth & spread of the int’net will mean the imminent downfall of the con theory industry. Fingers crossed?

@blub - This may be an amateurish type question, but is there the slightest sliver of a shade of possibility that the “Behind the Bastards” people, on the episode entitled “Why Ted Cruz Sucks” may have inadvertently allowed the merest hint of bias to creep into their clearly impartial, objective analysis of Ted’s person & career?
I don’t know what makes me ask this, and I’m probably way off base, with very little in the way of reasonable suspicion…
