The journey started from South Dakota. After a minor detour in Nebraska, Reacher arrives in Virginia to finally meet the person behind the voice he liked so much on the phone, Susan Turner, the new CO of his old unit. But dinner plans are put on hold when he’s told Major Turner is under arrest and the acting-CO informs Reacher that he has a serious situation of his own to deal with—a beating he gave a man sixteen years before and a relationship he had while in Korea nearly fifteen years ago resulting in his child. And that’s just his “Welcome to town”. Then back at his motel, two guys insist he do what Reacher does best: get lost.
Reacher doesn’t like being told to get lost. Not without a reason. And definitely not because two amateurs showed up to physically encourage him to do it.
Thus we begin the eighteenth adventure of Jack Reacher. Many people criticized the last book (A Wanted Man) for not being up to par. I don’t agree but this story is better than the last. What separates the audio book from the regular book is all in Dick Hill’s presentation. Where words on a page can read repetitious after a point, Dick Hill’s precise cadence never makes them boring. In this adventure we have competent allies, intelligent foes and, of course, fodder for Reacher to punish.

Skip, I don’t know what your are talking about. I got tons of peers 200+. No seeds yet but give it a chance. Negative comments discourage down-loaders. Hence, less peers and later less seeds. I would just like to THANK the up-loader and let everyone know this torrent has activity. Actually, picked up a seed while typing. Keep up the good work! PLEASE, Remember to seed, it’s the right think to do.

You can download it for free on Cnet… I’ve been using it for ages to cut audiobooks to a size I like.
