Managed to find a better cassette rip of Gibson himself reading the book on an old forum called VetusWare. I was gonna download it from IA but it seems to no longer be on there, and the only other torrent of this specific recording on ABB doesn’t have the best audio quality.

Hi, thanks, but are you sure it’s unabridged? I remember having a version of that book read by William Gibson himself somewhere, that I listened to a long time ago, and it was clearly abridged. So much so that sometimes the plot was hard to follow (well, maybe that’s a feature of the book itself).

All of Gibson’s work can be hard to follow at times. His writing has a lot of “jump cuts”, for the lack of a better term, and can sometimes seem abridged.

for real, Neuromancer’s story especially and im pretty sure by design feels like a fever dream induced by some military grade designer drugs.
Realy dense writing also so even half a page can contain alot.
Loved the book so i didnt mind replaying parts.
