It starts off fun, with an anti-hero MC who is likeable because he stands up for a noble cause and against the hypocritical Good Guys. Then after he ‘wins’ everyone gets sucked into what fate has preordained, everything is hopeless and the characters discover and are crushed by the horrible reality of the big picture. They then have to second guess everything they believe in.
Why the hell is this in as a YA book?
