I once took part - vicariously, of course - in a Summarize Proust Competition. Unfortunately, we didn’t get too far into his weighty oeuvre, before the blasted gong sounded.
He was an awful man for the bed, all the same.

He only got as far as page one of ‘Swann’s Way’, the first of the seven volumes. A good try though and very nice posture.

Summarize Proust: “Mmmmm, Cake!”
On a more serious note: Flynn has the best modern translation of Dante (the Cary translation is more important historically, the Longfellow is just incompetent), and this is an excellent reading.
The bundle is worth doing for that alone.

For the next debate, they should have both Presidents Biden & Frump summarise Proust.
Or at least attempt to read a page of Finnegans Wake.
Although, I suspect Trump may secretly be a Woolf-man (Virginia, that is).
