Thanx, hrockh, these comprehensive meditations are cool.
I seem to remember the Will Self positing, pondering & pontificating about how Western democracies, with their aging populations, may become opiocracies; with older people voting for the party that will undertake to keep ‘em doped up the most at the end of life. The last few weeks of an illness are key - and quite expensive in terms of drug usage.
But then, Will might have an overactive, one-track.

Had my run with the poppy. Fu@$ that noise! Never again!!! 11 years clean. Got clean with the power of cannabis! We call it Green and Clean. I have been alcohol and pharmaceutical free for 11 years all because of Cannabis.
