This adaptation stays remarkably close to the flavour of the original, which always seems to me much closer to contemporary sensibilities than many much later works.

Saw the Google Translate version. Didn’t like it.
Try: ‘I was forgetting. You all might as well believe me. I was there.’
(Not a perfect translation- though way better than Google Translate. Sometimes Welsh tenses do stuff that is a bit hard to render precisely in English).
