FFS! How many BS, egotistical, historically meaningless trash “memoirs” by the murderous invaders of Vietnam do we have to bear? Their “stories” are invariably self-serving dribble meant to justify the unjustifiable, a vicious and outrageously murderous attack on a nation(s) that was never a threat to the US. I don’t care about American “suffering” or “trauma” or “guilt”. Do us all a favor and F off and die ya bastards and leave the rest of the world alone. A pox on you and that includes those “ordinary” individuals that go along with the non-stop criminal enterprise that is the US’s behavior since . . . well, since there has been a US. And a special curse for those cowardly c****s that drop bombs and fire missiles on people indiscriminately from the safety of 30,000 feet or whatever. Brave? Nuh, just loser teenagers in men’s bodies.
And for the record any one that knows any thing about the actual conduct of the US military in Vietnam is not fooled by this kind of crap. The US military were a drug-addled, undisciplined, trigger-happy bunch of clowns that were totally useless as an effective fighting force and would be run out of any real army as a waste of space. Just like those wreaking havoc in the Middle East today. All they know is firepower and indiscriminate destruction and that is not what real soldiering is about. They are to real soldiers as Justin Bieber is to David Bowie.

@lifesart: To be fair, the yanks and their military did save the inhabitants of your muddy little island (you are a Brit I assume) from being forced to learn German after your own army was chased out of France, and then saved you again from being forced to learn Russian.
