But the long-simmering conflict between Montana’s holding at Coggeshall and the Night Goblins who also occupy the valley is about to boil over.
Usually, goblins aren’t anything to write home about: an enemy without much size, intellect, or weaponry. But these goblins? Well, that’s just not the case.
These are goblins with limitless resources, never-before-seen tactics, and horrifying monsters at their disposal. Worst of all, they don’t fear death in the slightest.
They just might force a good guy to become what he has always struggled to defeat.
Killing Them Awfully is chaotic warfare, nonstop battles, and more monsters with digestive issues than totally necessary. Ready? Let’s go to war!

Torrent is solid.
This book was absolutely great and showed a lot of the main characters shortcomings in glaring repose. Until the end. The writer kind of hand waved his exceptionally dire situation away, though there was real foreshadowing, admittedly.
He doesnt use any of the real advantages he’s gained, balks at making any of his own major decisions, and doesn’t properly utilize training methods they’ve basically handed to him in his lap.
The dude has enough stat potions to add ~30% increases to his total, and doesn’t use them. He gained an outlandish amount of strength by pushing a train of wagons for miles and using regeneration to offset his hurting himself. He could easily have spent a day or three repeating the effort with increasingly heavier blocks, and double his already godlike might. (At least then he’d never spend any points in strength and could focus on speed)
Most of his problems likely would be put to bed 5x faster if he put one of those massive stat potions into intelligence. He doesnt even remember half the things he has in his bag til hed in need of it, and struggles to manage priorities or stay on track.
In his defense, he has a lot of responsibility he didn’t even ask for and admits he’s out of his depth. Admittedly he’s shown growth as a person, but in an isekai one would hope the character would start to develop more 11 books into the series.
Nonetheless, great listen if you liked any of the other books, and ill definitely be buying it and leaving Ugland a review.
