Advice for creating torrents, if you’re going to split the book by chapters then use mp3. If it’s a single file then use m4b. Older players can’t play m4bs while newer players support chapters embedded within single m4b files.
A split m4b release benefits neither older players nor newer ones.

You guys realize there’s around 50 books worth of text written and we’re only on audio book 15?
The awesome narrator retired because she felt she couldn’t keep up with all the different characters and because she was taking too long to finish each book. Sadly that will probably repeat with the new narrator too. This series really should have multiple narrators. One per region would probably work fine and they’d be able to publish the books much faster.
The old narrator did an awesome job putting emotion into her characters. I haven’t listened to the new one yet, but I’ve heard her speech rate is more consistent :( Though it’s still way better than TTS.

Andrea Parsneau, is a very busy narrator. Because of her schedule she decided that she could not dedicate to the project fully anymore. A lot was due to constantly trying to remake new voices to fit the vast amount of characters that the project requires. As much of a dedicated voice actor that she is, she had to back away from that project due to stress. She is still voice acting pirataba’s Singer of Terandria.
Her dedication to the Wandering Inn series is commendable by the fact she did those verbose audiobooks by herself. I just wish she could have stayed and asked Soundbooth theater to help her out.

With respect to both VA’s for this type of narration Andrea is superior. While Erin does a fine job, you hear her tweaking her voice. Andrea completely changed her tone, creating individual characters. Her decision is regrettable from a listeners perspective, but understandable.

As for the new narrator, I haven’t listened to it yet but if someone is that upset about it, do your own fanversion! Someone did it with the Delve webnovel. We’ll all have to get used to it, even if it’s different, no use blasting the narrator’s first attempt at this monster of a series :P

I am a little more than a third of the way into the audio book, I was a little apprehensive of a new narrator given Ms. Parseneau is a tough act to follow.
While Erin narration is noticeably different, but not to a degree I find anything to gripe about or find fault with. Kudos in fact for daring and IMHO succeeding.
As for it being the last book in the series, the way the author keeps weaving in new threads to the plot line that is bloody unlikely.

Aight I’m halfway through the book. Yes, you can tell it’s a different narrator reading it, but she does a pretty good job replicating their accents & speaking styles. C’est la vie, I’ll miss the previous narrator but it’s not enough to drop the series

Weird how everyone wants to be nice to this new narrator. On Audible too. If this was some other book, sure she’s good. But to follow Andrea. She SUCKS. Listen to Floss or the Dragon or any male character rage in the other books. In this one, she whisper shouts to convey power. Whisper. Shouts. Beloved character personalities are gone. Bird used to sound simple and young and joyous. No he just sounds like a guy with a unique speech pattern that thinks he’s better than everybody else. And ironically enough, she does the women’s voices the worst. Because they all sound like her. Erin Solstice (bubbly sweet naive airhead sound and personality are gone), Lionette, Selys (even with the Drake accent), Garia (Timid thick Texan accent is gone), Ryoka, hells even Rags all sound way to similar. All the grunts, chuckles and little adlibs that brought the characters to life are gone. If you were listening to this book and got to a point where you said “Wait, who’s talking?” then it’s not good. She may be second best but we’re talking about a second that finished a couple days later.

A lot of people don’t seem to understand. M4B is for chapterised audio in ONE file. Just converting each mp3 to separate M4B is a waste of time because there are still multiple files for no reason.

jkintzy you’re an idiot if you think Pirateaba had anything to do with Andrea not wanting to continue. I bet she would’ve liked nothing more than for Andrea to narrate the entire 15 million words lol, but thats not possible and I wish Andrea would’ve considered narrating at least the main PoVs. The new narrator lacks so much of the nuance that characters held with Andrea voicing them, now it just sounds like someone reading a book rather than performing it and bringing it to life.

Pirate aba should do full sound booth theatre at some point so we can restart the series with a new twist. I remembered listening to Super Powered by drew hayes a long time ago even before My hero academia came out and now I’m relistening to the sound booth version and I really like it, the voices are exactly how I imagined they would be. And I want them to give this the same treatment, it’ll make alot of munnay.

I was putting off getting into this because some of the comments here made me apprehensive, but the new narrator’s actually quite decent wth. I was worried for nothing. She even fixed the previous grating high pitched female voices which I deeply appreciated. It also was less whiney overall.
Maybe this new narrator and Andrea can share the load in the future. I do miss Andrea’s Antinium, particularly Bird. XD

This is a strange one to download. I’ve not had this issue with other audiobooks but seems if I download more than 1 file at a time, it corrupts.
It’s all up there so it’ll just take effort and it’s annoying, but it works. Thanks uploader.
If anyone knows how to resolve the corrupt file, I’d appreciate the help. I’ll be torrenting/listening to one chapter at a time in the meanwhile lol

The switch to a new narrator broke my heart, this is terrible. If Andrea was feeling burnt out then she should have take a break! I would rather wait a year than have all the personalities built over the past 15 books just die like this! I’m just gonna read the rest and keep their voices alive in my head.

Well, the new narrator is disappointing. Even worse, the story became too political to enjoy. I have no objections to the author expressing her politics through the story, but around halfway through the book, it stopped focusing on the characters or the plot and shifted entirely to politics.
Very disappointing. I’ll give the next book a chance, but if it continues in this tone, I’ll have to look for other books to enjoy.
And for the love of god, please stop bringing the same things we’re trying to escape to our way of escaping them….

Got 80% through the book before deciding to drop the series. This is by far the worst book in the series based on the content, and add to that the new narrator is vastly inferior to making character voices (she is better at reading text tho) and since she tries to copy Parseneau’s characters instead of doing her own thing… it’s just bad.
Pirateaba has some great skills in world building and writing scenarios, but she has weaknesses as well and Parseneau carried a lot of weaknesses when it comes to making complex and real characters. Pirateaba is also suffering from the problem that she doesn’t understand that everything she wants to write doesn’t need to be written in her main book series. It’s fine to write another book instead of pushing an unrelated story into a her main books, and this bad habit has gotten worse and worse in the later books.

I tried to get into the new narrator really hard but it’s too different in a bad way. Parseneau brought all of the characters to life in an incredible way. I understand why she left and I do blame pirateaba for only hiring one narrator to do the INSANE workload. It’s always blown my mind there’s only one. I can’t finish the series and that sucks!
