No one is saying climate change isn’t real. Parts of the world that was once underwater no longer is nd vice-versa. Mn made climate change is the hoax. One violent volcano eruption can put in the sky more pollution in a few seconds than all of us, including China, can produce in 3 years.
Just live with the fact that this planet has the ability to kill us. That’s what climate change is all about

Humans are responsible for over 60 times the amount of carbon dioxide than volcanoes. Large volcanic eruptions can match the amount, but only for the limited time an eruption is occuring.
Nearly all actively publishing climate scientists (97–98%) support the consensus on anthropogenic climate change, and the remaining 2% of contrarian studies either cannot be replicated or contain errors.
The author of this audiobook is the president of a think tank which “does not challenge the scientific consensus that human emissions of greenhouse gasses cause climate change”.

Not sure he’s as extreme as some make out; he openly advocates for a massive redirection of investments away from fossil fuels to renewables.
That said, he does tend to caricature climate science by setting them up via straw man arguments.

Volcanoes Emit more CO2 than Mankind
This is a pervasive myth that continues to circulate. The idea that volcanoes put out more CO2 than mankind through human industrial output is patently false. Volcanoes put out around 0.2 Gt (200 million tons of CO2). The facts are clear and measured. As of 2010, humans put out on average of around 27Gt (Twenty Seven ‘Gigatons’) of CO2 per year. That’s 2,700 million tons compared to natural cycles 200 million ton output.

In the 1970’s we were told by the experts that if we didn’t change the environment we would be plunged into another ice age, as the earth’s temperature was getting colder.
Then in the 80’s and 90’s we were told we needed to change because of “Global Warming”
Now it’s the all-encompassing catch phrase “Climate Change” which conveniently covers all the bases. One year it’s colder = Climate Change
One year it’s warmer = Climate Change
I don’t know. Sounds like a scam to me.

NO “EXPERTS” SAID THAT.
Climate scientists said we were in a warm period between ice ages. That we could expect it to get colder in tens of thousands of years. Which is true. Some journalists then did stories saying ice ages were imminent.
Of course, add gigatonnes of CO2 from industry and natural cycles are tipped upside down.
Maybe the fact that oil and coal companies spent billions funding people like Bjørn Lomborg and the GOP in the US to cast doubt on the actual science of climate change is the scam. Deniers love to make up conspiracy theories to discount the facts agreed by 98% of scientists, ignore the paper trail of their own funding.

Lol. More clowns that think science is a democracy. That’s so completely bonkers that it’s not even worth debating.
Prove a.) the exact harm done - because at the moment, in the last decade fewer people have been harmed by climate events than at any point in history and many of the “disasters” not only didn’t happen but, in fact, the opposite happened (UN PR stunt of visiting “shrinking” Vanuatu only for the island to stubbornly grow by over 1km in the following year, for example) and b.) that you can counteract such harm with any given effort and that the cost of such effort shows a return on investment.
Climate change isn’t a hoax. But for nearly 70 years now, they’ve told us it’s going to destroy the world and end humanity. And not one of these predictions has come true. Not one. My mother-in-law was told in school that Manila would be buried beneath the waves by the year 2000 which would have been inconvenient for us when we booked an Airbnb there in 2020. But, of course, it never happened.
Science is not about consensus. That’s what liberal arts are about. Science is about proof and evidence. And the climate change issue? Is a hideous red herring absent of any quality data and it is designed to distract from real issues like pollution. Issues that we could do something about, right now and with an obvious net gain to everyone involved.

Always these vague unsourced assertions that “they” said this years ago, (never stating who “they” are, and when “they” supposedly said this) it didn’t happen, therefore everyone who says anything about climate change since then is a liar. The tens of thousands of scientists who have studied this are all fabricating evidence as part of a conspiracy to make you give up hamburgers and SUVs.
“Science is not about consensus” Yes, it is. Consensus by qualified people on the weight of evidence. Not consensus by a bunch of politicians taking donations from oil companies. Not professional deniers funded by the Koch brothers to cast doubt on the conclusions of 97% of scientists who actually study this.
“designed to distract from real issues like pollution.” WTF? who advocates action of climate but not pollution? Pretty much all alternatives to fossil fuels produce less pollution so this is nonsense.
