It would be a fairly bizarre/byzantine ass-ertion to claim that the Jewish people have not had a continuous, vital, essential connection to their homeland - going back millennia. That kind of thing is always a precursor to some “solution” of a final nature.
It’s a complex situation, so nothing simple about it. The human rights of all should be protected; terrorism & extremist parties ought to be shunned. They just make everything worse.

@Within - Have the Arab nations (about 12 of them) made the desert bloom? Have they created a Start-up Nation? Have they educated women to the same level as men and encouraged them to be leaders their countries? Have they designed cutting edge technologies in water management? Have they designed cutting edge technologies in pharmaceuticals? Or in networking? Cyber security? Or in Autonomous driving safety? Have they created world class universities? How many Nobel prizes? How many books translated?
Alas, Within, the Israelis have done all of these while the petro-windfall was squandered by the plethora of Arab nations.
Palestinians I talk to tell me that among themselves they harbor greater dislike for their own corrupt leadership and the constant graft that doing anything requires, than even their disdain for the Israelis because it is their own leadership that has continually let them down and kept them down.
So go ahead and claim it is all Israel’s fault that the Palestinian Arabs aren’t more than they are. But they know they can do better, and not because it is all about Israel holding them back.

Why not deal with the reality of one of the most successful examples of a national movement in the 20th century. China, India, Pakistan and many many other countries established their independence from their former colonial occupiers in the manner and ideology that they established over their territory.
