Is he shouting as loudly as he did on the Jefferson/Tripoli book? I lasted less than three minutes and ordered the dead tree edition. Excellent, well-written book, can’t imagine why the publisher lets him continue to narrate his books. Thanks, though. And thanks again for all the great WW2 titles; I really enjoy them.

Amazing how these books persist despite all the known facts showing how much about what so many Texans tell themselves about the Alamo is really based on lies and revisionist history bent on burying the truth. Anyone truly interested in facts will do themselves a favor and read Texas-born and raised Bryan Burrough’s “Forget the Alamo” (see https://amzn.to/3q9N1xw) for a complete picture of a highly nuanced and complex history of how Texas came to be.

No mention of Crockett and Bowie being slaveowners and the protection of slavery being high on their fighting cause list?
Bowie was also a cheat, hell-raiser, drunkard and land swindler. These were not men of high moral character that should be honored by time memorial. More like dime novel myths.
