But I thought Brexit was going swimmingly - just as predicted - coz the Brits had made Britain Great Again? Innit?
Then wot the wot is happening?!
They don’t like the “immigents,” as posters on this very site make abundantly clear (all those “black Jewish paddies” & such).
The UK tourists are now languishing disconsolately in the non-EU queues. Whatever happened to the post-war dream? And Magna Carta, did she die for nothing?

Good points well made. I would add though that it wasn’t the whole of the British electorate that fell for the mendacious fantasy, far too many though, I’ll grant you that.
It is as incomprehensible to the onlooker as the ongoing circus in the USA - and a large percentage there still haven’t seen the joke either.
To paraphrase Robert Burns “it is a great gift to see ourselves as other see us” - speaking colectively rather than individually here.
