Note #1: I have to warn that book 5 in the Stephen Fry collection does not have the same chapterized type as the others: you can still see the chapters, but there are no chapter names like the other files (just chapter numbers). It’s a minor problem, but I should point out in case it annoys anyone.
Note #2: If you’re wondering what’s the difference between this one and my old torrent, these Potter books are the Pottermore editions, with the quality a little higher than the other one: bitrate of 64 kbps. Also Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is the new Pottermore edition (2017), read by Eddie Redmayne himself, who played as Newt Scamander in the movie; while Quidditch Through the Ages is also the new Pottermore edition (2018), read by Andrew Lincoln.

For those who do not know how to open chapterized m4b. file to see the chapters, here are some suggestions:
1. On a PC, try downloading VLC player, QuickTime Player, or iTunes. They are all free and easily found on google. If you’re a movie-lover, I recommend VLC Player, and if you’re a music-lover, iTunes is recommended.
- With VLC player, open the m4b. file with the program. Once it starts playing, click the tab ‘Playback’ at the top left, then move the pointer to ‘Chapter’, and you’ll be able to see the chapters.
- With iTunes, first you should drag the m4b. file into the program. Once it’s in the ‘Audiobooks’ menu, double click to play it. You then will see a ‘Chapters’ tab appearing on the menu tab at the top.
- With QuickTime Player, open the m4b. file with the program. You should be able to see the chapters right away on the right.
2. On Apple devices, it should be nearly the same with using iTunes. Once you transfer the m4b. file from your PC to your devices through iTunes, the rest should be simple.
3. On Android devices, try Smart Audiobook Player, Listen Audiobook Player, or Mort Audio Player. I never use these apps, so I’m not certain about this, but I’ve heard highly of them.
*** If all fail and you must convert these m4b. files, the softwares I would recommend are “Free M4a to MP3 Converter” or “freac - free audio converter”. So far those are the softwares I know that can split a chapterized m4b. file back into multiple mp3 files. Converting in other ways or changing the format to m4a. is not recommended because it will likely lose the chapters.

Is the Stephen fry version of order of the Phoenix incomplete? Audible lists the file at 4 minutes longer than it is and the file length for the others are pretty spot on.
Btw I left this running over night as it stopped at 58% myself but the download was complete by the morning :)

@talkingbooks -I really have no interest in the sexual proclivities of the writers or the narrators. I don’t care about their political views, either. I want my stories to be entertaining, gripping, and worth the time it took to read or listen to them.
This is how I feel about the narrator as well. A poor narrator can completely ruin a story (yes, even one who has the moral compass of Jesus Christ HIMself). I don’t watch movies based on the words or views of the actors and directors. I don’t read or listen to books based on theirs, either.
IF you really care that deeply, you would be sorely disappointed if you look too deep into most of their lives.
Let your heroes be heroes in your mind. Keep the curtain closed so that Oz still has its wizard.

I prefer Stephen Fry too .. his voice is so soothing .. Jim Dale, not so much, but as others have said, I’m glad to have both readings of the books .. PLUS the bonus books!

Wonderful upload. All the m4b split with the FreeM4atoMP3Converter except the Stephen Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. The splitter only creates the free promotion mp3 for the next book. Frustrating.

Fantastic quality, thank you! I was worried it wasn’t in seperate chapters at first as I just saw the single files of the books but it is chapterised, it does it automatically when transfering to your phone, read the torrents description above for playing chapters from pc etc.

Hi.
Just want to say thank you for all of these. I lost the my CDs along the way through a couple of moves. I really like the Jim Dale readings though. Nothing wrong with Stephen Fry, but his is more of an uncle telling the story rather than different people. I simply never get past the point that this is Stephen Fry. But even having said that, they both did a really REALLY good job. And then I find out I’ve known Jim Dale from the Carry On films. Such a surprise.
