Galileo Galilei was the foremost scientist of his day. Though he never left Italy, his inventions and discoveries were heralded around the world. His telescopes allowed him to reveal the heavens and enforce the astounding argument that the earth moves around the sun. For this belief, he was brought before the Holy Office of the Inquisition, accused of heresy, and forced to spend his last years under house arrest.
Galileo’s oldest child was 13 when he placed her in a convent near him in Florence, where she took the most appropriate name of Suor Maria Celeste. Her support was her father’s greatest source of strength. Her presence, through letters which Sobel has translated from Italian and masterfully woven into the narrative, graces her father’s life now as it did then.

Almost there… the overall torrent made it to 99.85% and there is just one last audio file stuck at 79.8% - 9 of 9 Track 11

Just ignore the missing files labeled:

Granted, this does mean that this particular posting will continue to show as ‘no seeds’ due to the inadvertent inclusion of those superfluous .torrent files that have absolutely nothing to do with this particular seed for this particular book (Galileo’s Daughter), but the book, Galileo’s Daughter, is fully present.

I’m also having problems with the one file - 79.8% - 9 of 9 Track 11. I deleted the two files ssafe05 mentioned, and forced a re-check. it’s still showing as 99.85% and won’t d//l now. Apparently it’s 0 of 86 seeds showing. I’ll leave it running and see what happens in a bit.
ssafe05: are you seeding at all and if you are, would you consider seeding that one incomplete file for a while? It’s only 817 kB in total. Thanks for listening! :)

ssafe - I played that short file and it cut off in the middle of a sentence. Can you verify same?
@anyone who has the whole book, can you also verify that particular track is whole or cuts off?
…I’m starting to wonder if that one file is corrupted and the original poster who u/l it elsewhere didn’t realize it was abnormally short/corrupted and then various posters such as ‘randeaucalrissian’ just upped it elsewhere.
@randeaucalrissian: can you double check this on your side?

I was in the middle of downloading it myself when I created this entry. It seems the original seeder cut off with one piece remaining.
@ssafe, if you actually got *all* the MP3 files, then we can recreate a new torrent that contains only them, and not the remaining extraneous files.
Like everyone else, I only have 79% of one of the MP3 files… argh.

Galileo’s Daughter (Audiobook) by Dava Sobel is stuck at 99.88&, with the file “- Galileo 9of9 - 11 - Track 11.mp3″ stuck at 79.86%. Otherwise the download has been fine . . . Could you please check the seeding file?
