From time immemorial, the region of modern-day Turkey has served as a crossroads between east and west. In this illuminating course, Professor Jennifer Tobin leads a compelling discussion of “Anatolia” from early archaeological sites and the Trojan War up through the Greeks, Persians, Alexander the Great, and the Romans. A land of immense cultural significance, Ancient Turkey has housed an amazing array of peoples - the study of whom shines light on the modern world.

There is no such thing as “ancient Turkey”!

Thanks for sharing rmoor. This work covers a period of great interest for me.
@marcodiluce: That’s just a little pedantic and disparaging, don’t you think? I suppose you would prefer the English title of western Anatolia, but I wonder how many non-historians would immediately understand where that was? In any event, I doubt that was its name in the language of the Maeonians, Lydians, Achaemenid, Hellenes, Romans or Byzantines who lived there at various time - not that I speak many of those ancient languages except Latin. How’s that for pedantry?
