The untold story of the unlikely heroes, the cutthroat politics, and the cultural forces that turned a Deep South state purple–by a top reporter at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Flipped is the definitive account of how the election of Reverend Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff transformed Georgia from one of the staunchest Republican strongholds to the nation’s most watched battleground state–and ground zero for the disinformation wars certain to plague statewide and national elections in the future. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reporter Greg Bluestein charts how progressive activists and organizers worked to mobilize hundreds of thousands of new voters and how Joe Biden’s victory in Georgia may shape Democratic strategy for years to come. He also chronicles how Georgia’s Republicans countered with a move to the far right that culminated in state leaders defying Donald Trump’s demands to overturn his defeat.
Bluestein tells the story of all the key figures in this election, including Stacey Abrams, Brian Kemp, David Perdue, Jon Ossoff, Raphael Warnock, and Kelly Loeffler, through hundreds of interviews with the people closest to the election. Flipped also features such fascinating characters as political activist turned U.S. congresswoman Nikema Williams; perma-tanned baseball star turned lieutenant governor Geoff Duncan; and the volunteers and voters who laid the groundwork for Biden’s triumphant Georgia campaign.
Flipped tells a story that will resonate through the rest of the decade and beyond, as most political experts see Georgia headed toward years of close elections, and Democrats have developed a deep bench of strong candidates. There will be even more interest in the state going forward, when Stacey Abrams could mount a rematch against Governor Brian Kemp in 2022 and Trump promotes his own slate of candidates against Republicans who stood against his efforts to overturn Georgia’s election.

Rigged election. Next, nothing to see here.
March 23rd, 2022
Yes, it’s obviously rigged because you lost. If you had won, it would have all been completely fair with no rigging at all…..

@rivatej428: Bill Barr had the DOJ investigate. Found nothing. Then had to quit because Trump just wanted him to fake it.
Otherwise, you’ve had 16 months to find proof that a judge won’t laugh at. Nada. Audits. Nada. A dozen MAGAs who voted twice is the only fraud detected anywhere.

Election Fraud at its worse! No secret here.
Never believe anything that Sweat Hog, Stacey Abrams, says. She was central to the fraud.
However, the msm and Big tech are in on the scam of the century.

What Gweilo said.
@apollo60 that’s a really disgusting term you used (I had to look it up) … Unequivocally sexist and appallingly demeaning. And contextually racist. … oh, well, when there’s no fraud, and you’re rooting in the muck for something to say …

@appollo60 do you think a remarkably crude, sexist (and contextually racist) phrase like that somehow supports your bogus claim of voter fraud?
Here’s a good article you won’t read: https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2018/11/fighting-voter-discrimination-not-undermining-democracy/576229/

Left wing trash. @appollo60 that was a terrible thing to say, you insulted sweat hogs everywhere with that comparison! I think a more accurate description would be a Hippo, hogs just don’t get big enough. Flipped Ga huh, after the midterms the reality will be apparent.

@wbear Are you in middle-school? Is that the best you can do?

Not going to bother reading the book as I don’t rate Bluestein as a fiction author. Not going to comment on whether the election was rigged or not as people either do believe it or they don’t.
I will comment that America has the worst president in my lifetime and probably in our history. I thought we were better than putting a senile old fool in office to be the mouthpiece for his controllers.
I will also comment - Not only watch Georgia next Presidential election, but watch closely in May at the midterms.

@Roddd “Not only watch Georgia next Presidential election, but watch closely in May at the midterms”
Hmmm, by which you mean if the Democrats do well, it just demonstrates election fraud, and if they do badly, it just demonstrates there was prior election fraud … Yeah … sure

Can u imagine being so without courage you cannot face any loss without crying fraud? Pity.

“I thought we were better than putting a senile old fool in office to be the mouthpiece for his controllers.”
Ronald Reagan died years ago, you need some more contemporary references.
