At least it’s not by woke loon Mike Brooks. I hope she’s not as woke.
Thanks for sharing, matey. Anything to keep them from getting any income for woke trash. Hopefully Warhammer will return to what it used to be and what fans enjoyed it for, otherwise I hope all of their books and content get pirated and TTRPG pieces get 3D printed instead of bought.

Yay! Knew this would drop soon. The community is pretty good about uploading WH40K, but one they missed was “Awakenings” by George Mann, released in 2022. Never been uploaded.

well…
it finally downloaded and to say that it was a waste of disk space would be an understatement.
could not even finish listening to half of it.
i’m not going to get into the “Warhammer vs. Wokehammer” debate. that’s just a waste of time.
but the main reasons i didn’t finish this was that it is poorly written and shoddily narrated.
it’s like the writer has no idea about how WH40K works or how the factions behave.
this is afar far cry from the work Black Library did with it’s brief collaboration with Big Finish and the sheer quality displayed with “Corsair - Face of the Void”, the Agent of the Throne series or even the Night Lords story, “Throne of Lies”.
if you want a good Catachan themed story, i recommend “Waiting Death” by Steve Lyons for audio or read “Death World” also by Steve Lyons.
this is story is just not worth the disk space.

Think the author needs to do more research disobedience and insolence is the path to Chao. The main character should have been shot for heracy when disobeying the captain conducting the trial. Then he would have been shot for incompetence. Other than that not a bad story but far from the best.

One other 40K book is missing here: Blackstone Fortress Ascension.
Someone did uploaded it but the version is corrupted and the voices overlap in the second half so it is unlistenable.
If someone have proper version of Blackstone Fortress Ascension it would be nice if they upload it, I will reseed it :)
