Many thanks for the upload! I’ve been thinking a lot about getting this on Audible but wanted to try it first to see what the differences are to the narrative from Looming Tower

Greetings~! I’ve read looming tower and am about 20% of the way through this, and from what I can tell, the biggest difference is the viewpoint. Looming tower was a very macro look at it. The history, the ideology, the lead up attacks, and the history of the intelligence community insights into Islamic terror in the lead up.
This book has some of that, but much less. It is a micro view of it. Looking through the eyes of some of the key people on the lead up events and then the events of 9/11. Starting with one of the pilots, then one of the flight attendants. It weaves the historical narrative in while giving a much more personal perspective of the lives that were lost as well.
I personally worried it would be TOO much of the personal stories, when what I was looking for was a more straight historical narrative of that day. So far, he has done a great job of both. I am enjoying it, as much as anyone can enjoy something so macabre.
