kriskodisko - I know it’s tough staying up-to-date on current events, but recent (I am being generous, we’re talking around a decade) discoveries in paleontology, molecular biology, and genetics have rendered this book largely apocryphal.

Things are obviously much more complicated than the old “protein-coding vs. junk” assumed model, but most genomes are still largely garbage that could be done without, filled with unused duplicates, broken genes, ancient deactivated provirus etc, many things serving no purpose beyond maybe the structural, and the necessity of any one region is often varying degrees of negotiable (see diet-allowed broken vitc production in great apes etc, or more general trends like troglodytism).
Some fish and amphibians or even single-celled eukaryotes have genomes ten times larger than do humans, showing the potential for unnecessary filler information to be not especially deleterious (of course straight-up duplication can often make for useful adaptations as well though, polyploid plants etc).

Can’t believe there is people that still believe in creationism.
Is absolutely absurd what religions had done to human brain.
