I dunno about this one, jewwangle, isn’t the Darknet replete with paedophiles, sex traffickers, assorted sinister ministers and tin foil hatters? Should we be facilitating them or rounding them up?
Thanks for all.

I can’t decide if the previous comment is serious or not. If so it’s pretty ironic being posted on a site that you should probably be visiting through tor(or as noobs and clickbait media likes to say, the darknet/web)

@caesar963 Certainly, but its also full of censored people from around the world who would otherwise be in great danger without it, and, as the rossta here has pointed out, the mere act sharing a lot of content means, by definition, I am concerned with maintaining privacy

Corrections accepted guys. It’s just that here in my country, and in Britain, we’ve seen some proufoundly evil types dissembling their activities by utilising the Darknet. It’s enabled them to intensify the darkness within themselves and form networks of like-minded “souls”. As always, there are the good guys too. You’re a seriously substantial contributor.

There are good and bad people on the (Dark)net, just as on the highways. That doesn’t mean that You support them by using the (Dark)net, or by driving. Darknet and highways will be there wether You use them of not. The ‘evildoers’ are and will always be a minority.

@ibidibi - Both logical and true. On the subject of the unpleasant aspects of the Darknet, officers have to receive therapy after investigating a lot of this stuff on the net. Repeatedly viewing such abhorrent material, in order to gather evidence for prosecutions, is extremely damaging to the psyche.
On a lighter note, your name sounds like Twiki.
