This torrent is the complete Chronicles of Narnia series collection dramatisations (all in m4b. format, chapterized), dramatised by Focus on the Family Radio Theatre, The C. S. Lewis Company Ltd. and Tyndale Entertainment; including:

3. The Horse and His Boy.
4. Prince Caspian.
5. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
6. The Silver Chair.
7. The Last Battle.
It featured a full cast, orchestral music, and an introduction by Douglas Gresham. It was dramatised and directed by Paul McCusker. Radio Theatre brings them to life in this dramatized audio production. Recorded in London with an all-star cast of England’s brightest talent from the stage and screen, an original orchestral score, and cinema-quality digital sound design, this innovative recording provides hours of entertainment for the entire family.

For those who do not know how to open chapterized m4b. file to see the chapters, here are some suggestions:
1. On a PC, try downloading VLC player, QuickTime Player, or iTunes. They are all free and easily found on google. If you’re a movie-lover, I recommend VLC Player, and if you’re a music-lover, iTunes is recommended.
- With VLC player, open the m4b. file with the program. Once it starts playing, click the tab ‘Playback’ at the top left, then move the pointer to ‘Chapter’, and you’ll be able to see the chapters.
- With iTunes, first you should drag the m4b. file into the program. Once it’s in the ‘Audiobooks’ menu, double click to play it. You then will see a ‘Chapters’ tab appearing on the menu tab at the top.
- With QuickTime Player, open the m4b. file with the program. You should be able to see the chapters right away on the right.
2. On Apple devices, it should be nearly the same with using iTunes. Once you transfer the m4b. file from your PC to your devices through iTunes, the rest should be simple.
3. On Android devices, try Smart Audiobook Player, Listen Audiobook Player, or Mort Audio Player. I never use these apps, so I’m not certain about this, but I’ve heard highly of them.
*** If you still cannot open the m4b. files, then I suggest looking for another torrent with the regular mp3. files or any format you can use. Converting these files are not recommended, because they will lose the chapters. M4B. format purpose is mainly for the chapterized audiobooks, so without the chapters, it’s easier to find another torrent.

Anon: I agree with your misgivings, but these are possibly the best presentations of Narnia outside the actual books themselves. FotF did a good job of letting the works speak for themselves without any editorialization. Plus the intro and outro by C. S. Lewis’ step-son give a personal perspective on each book.

Too bad this is the Focus On The Family Radio Theater editions… from the picture on the page I was hoping it was the BBC Radio 4 productions which are near impossible to find in good quality nowadays; and most collections labeled as “BBC” are actually the “FOTF” ones.
While the FOTF editions are very well-done, I would love to find the original BBC Radio Theater collection in high-quality as well :(

For anyone interested I have written a short script to convert the MKV container into MP3 without re-encoding it using FFMPEG. Just copy FFMPEG into the Audiobook directory, create a new text document by right clicking on and empty space in the directory and choose “New>Text Document” copy and paste the following command lines…

Then Save and (if you haven’t already) if you’re using windows 10 in the explorer folder click on the View Tab in the top left corner and check “File Name Extensions” and rename the “New Text Document.TXT” to “New Text Document.BAT”, select yes from the popup warning
Double click on the “New Text Document.bat” and watch it do its thing.
Hope this helps, it trims off the video portion of the package so there is none of the fancy cover image making it slightly smaller. If you want to include that then add a ” -c:v copy ” before or after ” -c:a copy ” and change the file extensions in the document to MP4 and all should work still.

Unfortunately, there is some choppy audio in The Last Battle. It’s a few places where the audio cuts out for a few split seconds, so it doesn’t detract from the overall story, it’s just a minor annoyance. I’m hoping to find a copy that doesn’t have this problem.
