This Collection is only the books I judge as “Adult Sci-Fi”
To be honest it is, at least for me difficult to describe this author, about as hard as to define what SF is and a lot of his works are not SF, hence not included here.
Well here are no spaceships…
One description is that a bit more thinking is required than J.N. Chaney ….
It is more Alternative history / future Really hard to explain since his books are all different
This is a guy that do not “churn out 8 books/year”, it is more “literature” if you can say that.
More known as an author outside the SF community, as I say “a palate cleanser” between J.N. Chaney and the likes, you do need different “stimuli” for the “brain box”

Very grateful for this. As George Mann says in his SF encyclopedia, after noting that Priest claims he will write no more SF — “While Priest may stand today on the sidelines of the genre looking outwards, his fiction has a perspective entirely of its own that remains of interest to all intelligent readers of SF.” For that reason it would be very much worthwhile also to post any non-SF works of his that you may have.

“Unfortunatelly” there exists so much literature and really only around 750.000 hours in a life…
And harddrives cost…
I more or less only deal with SF and have SEVERE problems with that In time and storage.
It is so easy to “collect everything” but in the end I would not have storage for what I really want.

Most publishers demand authors submit books that are as thick as the “Complete Works of Shakespeare”. They do this in order to sell books at a higher price per unit than would otherwise be the case.
Imagine how tiresome it must be for authors to have to write such drivel. Perhaps prolific authors have chunks of such stuff in files and they just cut and paste them into their stories.
I know most readers just skip the “filler” stuff, but it’s not so easy when listening to books.
Dare I say it, but some of the best books I’ve ever read were Reader’s Digest Condensed Books/Select Editions.
I don’t know if any audiobooks have been created from those books but I would certainly welcome them here if that is the case.

If a book is not “Filler Stuff” it is a manual.
But there are better and worse ways of doing it.
Often people do not think, they just like or dislike the style.
Like music, often the simplistic is the most popular.
In SF you got J.N Chaney etc. they produce 8-16 books a year.
Yeah, they follow a formula, it is a bit like TV series.
In my view they all have their purpose.
You read / listen to much to the same style your “brain gets numb”
You get tired of it.
You need contrasts, ALL authors have some kind of style that in the end “bore you”
That is how I chose what to “read”
It depends how I feel.
Sometimes JN Chaney is what I need, sometimes Doris Lessing.
I listen for 1 hour or so, if I dont get hooked I change book.
Everything has its purpose.

Then I went thru my Priest books and noticed there really was no torrents here with Priest.
a bit strange really.
So why stop with “Inverted Worlds”
