Garbage!
Friedman’s theory is just theory. Practical effect we see all around us today.

This has value only as history for a failed ideology of the past. Recall that The Chicago School under Friedman aided Pinochet in his destruction of Chile during the 1970s, a fascist dictatorship at least as vile as that of Stalin or Hitler’s NAZI regime. And today who is a threat to freedom, especially on the internet? Corporations/Capitalism!

Corporations and capitalism are hardly a threat to freedom. They serve a need, provide a good or service that people desire. If people did not desire the product, the corporation ceases to exist. Like nearly all leftists you blame the system and ignore the human nature that sustains it.

do I have any other option? Does lobbying for corporations or military contractors serves those “desired” services you mentioned?
Capitalism is defined as a right for free enterprise. Owning a restaurant or bring a self employed a plumber is not the vision Friedman pushed in his BS theory.

@maimoedes “do I have any other option?” — why wouldn’t you? I work 14 hours a day to make myself a better life, and I’m GLAD I have this opportunity under capitalism, even if it’s very stifled by the state. The rest of your comment is not an argument, either.

how exactly you make “better” your life with those 14 hours a day? (i believe you talking about making more money…i am not sure it counts as better).
And if you want argument: look at any case where Friedman theory got chance to be implemented.

Gotta love it when people can’t tell the difference between crony capitalism under constant state interference as we see all around the world now and free markets. Rest assured Friedman never argued for the former.
